About ASEP Membership
Membership in ASEP provides a home for professionals interested in the transformational power of sexual energy. Members share knowledge, wisdom and inspiration with people from diverse fields, disciplines, approaches and personal backgrounds. Members have in common a commitment to the Mission and Vision of ASEP.
ASEP’s Mission:
ASEP provides sexual energy professionals with educational and networking opportunities that inspire psychological, somatic, and energetic approaches to sexual wellness and sexual wisdom.
ASEP’s Vision•
Founded in 2006, ASEP was originally formed as a nonprofit organization for professionals dedicated to the expression of sexual energy as an essential component of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of each individual and thus of society in general. In 2010, approaching its 5th annual conference, ASEP reformed the organizational structure as a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).
• As an organization, ASEP stands for psychological, social, cultural, religious, and political change that would promote the fundamental values of sexual health and erotic freedom that are central to this Vision. We believe that the promotion of sexual well-being requires a holistic approach involving the body, mind, and spirit, within a cultural context that truly supports individual liberties and social justice.
• The members of ASEP support all sex-positive modalities of healing that are effective and grounded in ethical awareness. We recognize that healing and transformation often require direct physical and/or erotic connection between the professional and those who are receiving her/his services or teachings.
• ASEP actively seeks networking opportunities with professionals and organizations who are in agreement with our Mission and Vision but who do not necessarily practice somatic or energetic approaches.
ASEP members will find among their colleagues:
Alternative Healers, Body Movement Teachers, Breathwork Facilitators, Chiropractors, Physicians, Counselors and Therapists, Clergy, Artists, Massage Practitioners, Students and Researchers of Sexology, Erotic Educators, Priests and Priestesses, Psychologists, Quodoshka Teachers, Tantra Teachers, Taoist Teachers, Sacred Sexuality Teachers, Medicine Women and Men, Sacred Intimates, Sexological Bodyworkers, Sexologists, Sex Workers, Sex Surrogates, Sex Coaches, Sexual Healers, Sexual Shamans, Dakas and Dakinis, Tantrikas and Tantrics .... and more
